With a brand new year comes brand new dates for your diary. Below are some of the key festival dates in the Ipswich Buddhist Centre calendar.
The first of our festivals is Parinirvana Day, the day the Buddha died. This year it will be held on Thursday 16th February in the evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Buddha Day, the day we celebrate the Buddha’s Enlightenment is May 7th, with Dharma Day not far behind on July 2nd. Both are significant days in the Triratna Calendar as is Padmasambhava Day on 1st October and Sangha Day, which will be late in November on the 26th.
Last but by no means least, we have two Sangha Retreats happening during the long hot months of summer. The first is June 2nd-4th and the second will be August 18th-20th. Both retreats will be at the beautiful Vajrasana in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.
