Booking has opened for the Buddhafield East Gathering, 20-24th August.
This is the popular family-friendly camping retreat held annually on the Suffolk/Norfolk border which is attended by a good number of the Ipswich sangha (spiritual community). This year, inspired by the phenomenon of Murmuration the Gathering will explore the Four Samgrahavastus’ – these are the qualities of generosity, affectionate speech, beneficial activity, and exemplification that the Buddha taught as cultivating a unified community.
The Gathering has an informal vibe with all activities optional including meditation, vibrant pujas, inspiring talks, dressing-up, workshops, children’s area, saunas, tasty vegan food, and enjoying community around the campfire, with songs, stories and laughter!
There is the option also to join the Set-up camp from 18th August at no additional charge (food and camping provided!). Joining the Set-up camp is a great way to start building a strong connection with others at the Gathering and helps the organisers to prepare the event.
The normal price is Adults £205/£140 (conc.) and Under 17s £70 but book by 14th July and the Early Bird rate is only Adults £170/120 (conc.) and Under17s £60. Delicious food and all activities included.
