A Puja from the Bodhicaryavatara
November 29, 2020 @ 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm
“As long as the existence of space, and as long as the existence of time, that long may my life be devoted to the sorrows of the world. Only medicine for this suffering world. May the teachings of the Buddha, with all honour and glory, endure until the end of time”.
So speaks the 8th century monk and poet Shantideva in his great work of devotion The Bodhicaryavatara. In this puja we’ll be reciting Shantideva’s inspiring words and will be connecting with that most heart-opening and challenging of all ideals – to practise for the benefit of all beings until suffering in this world has ceased.
Come and join us for an afternoon of devotion and delight.
This event includes Buddhist ritual and is suitable for people who are familiar with our two meditations.
