Friends & Newcomers Night
Thursday, June 9th @ 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Shakyamuni Buddha lived over 2,500 years ago, yet his teaching is still very relevant today. Why is that? What does the Buddha’s teaching bring to our lives? One of the Friends Night team will be sharing with us stories and tales of the Life of the Buddha. Join us to find out more about the Buddha and how his teachings are relevant to us even today, and how we can enjoy a richer life by using these teachings.
Each week a new topic will be discussed. Over the following weeks discover how to further your meditation practice, and find what hinders you in that practice. Explore with the team stories of the Buddha, and how these stories can be applied to our own lives. Take time to enjoy memories of Sangharakshita – the founder of Triratna Buddhist Order. Join us each week for meditation, refreshments, engaging talks and discussions.
How to Join
You can join us at the Centre ten minutes before the evening begins.
The classes are free but donations are welcome, and there is no need to book in advance. GIVING PAGE
