Ipswich Young Buddhists
Saturday, September 12th @ 7:00 pm – 9:15 pm
Current Theme: Becoming a Bodhisattva – Practising for the benefit of all beings.
Tonight: Wisdom
An evening of uplifting collective practice for 18–30 year olds interested in Buddhism. Whether you’re completely new or already exploring, this is a space to sit together, tune in, and explore ancient wisdom in the context of modern life.
Join us for the final evening in our series exploring the Six Perfections (Paramitas), qualities that help us cultivate the wisdom and compassion of a Bodhisattva: someone who aspires towards enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. The six paramitas are generosity, ethics, patience, energy, meditation, and wisdom. Together, they form a path of practice that helps us grow in awareness, compassion, and freedom.
This month we’ll be exploring Wisdom. In Buddhism, wisdom is a direct insight into the way things really are. As we look deeply into our experience, we begin to see how everything arises in dependence on countless conditions and is intimately connected with everything else.
As part of this series, we’ve invitied young order members and mitras from across the movement to reflect on each of these qualities.
We’re delighted to welcome Lottie, who will be joining us from the North London Buddhist Centre. Lottie discovered Buddhism while at university and has been practising for several years. She did the Dharma Life course last year, spending four months living at a Buddhist retreat centre, studying and practising Buddhism alongside others.
Come along for an evening of exploring what it might mean to see ourselves and the world with greater wisdom.

Doors open 6:45pm
