Lunchtime Meditation Class – online
August 18, 2020 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Relax and refresh your mind every weekday lunchtime with the Ipswich Buddhist Centre online.
This Tuesday lunchtime class is led by one of our experienced order members (normally Dayasara). It offers more instruction than the lunchtime practice sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Every day we will introduce one of the two meditation practices which are part of our vision of a complete system of practice. This session is most suitable for those who already have experience of the two meditations – mindfulness of breathing and the metta bhavana (meditation on loving kindness) There is no need to book. Just drop in and discover what meditation can do for you!
The sessions are similar to those that we normally run at the Centre but, for now, they are online.
The sessions start at 1pm and will last about 40 minutes in total. The leader, will start the session with a simple introduction to the practice [lasting a few minutes]. Then there will be a 25 minute meditation period. After that, there will be an opportunity to talk over a cup of tea (you will have to make it at home) if you wish.
The class is offered without charge but please remember that the Centre is powered by your generosity. GIVING PAGE
