Midweek for Mitras&OMs
Wednesday, June 14th @ 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Midweek is a regular sangha evening for Mitras and Order Members. It is an opportunity to practice together with meditation, study and ritual.
During June Ariyanivata will be joining the team to lead a variety of discussions on Suttas from the Pali Canon. This will provide a chance to explore the inspirational teachings of the Buddha as described in a selection of the early Buddhists texts.
The introduction will be this week, with – Two Types of Thought (Dvedhavitakka Sutta, MN19).
We will be exploring this discourse in which the Buddha recalls how, before his awakening, he investigated his thoughts and divided them into unskilful ones to be avoided and skilful ones to be cultivated. This appears to be a key step in his quest for awakening.

The format for Midweek for Mitras&OMs will normally be:
- 7:00pm Arrive
- 7:10pm Meditation
- 7:50pm Tea
- 8:00pm Study
- 9:20pm Wind-up, clear-up and depart
