Parinirvana Day

The Parinirvana Day festival marks the end of the Buddha’s earthly life and gives opportunities to reflect on impermanence, beauty and Enlightenment.
It will include meditation and talks/discussion, and we will bring to mind people who have died in the past year or so. The day will conclude with Srivandana leading a Puja to the Medicine Buddha, with a focus on healing.

11:00am | Talk from Ariyanivata, followed by breakout discussion groups |
1:00pm | Lunch with the opportunity to share social time online |
2:00pm | Talk from Dayasara, followed by breakout discussion groups |
3:30pm | Bringing to mind friends/relatives who have died in the past year or so (including photos etc). |
4:00pm | Medicine Buddha Puja led by Srivandana |

Is this event suitable for me?
This event is suitable for anyone who is familar with our two main meditations, The Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana. For the Puja you will need to be open to Buddhist ritual.
Do I need to attend the whole day?
The day does work best as a whole but it is not necessary to attend the whole day if you can’t or would rather not.
Do I need to book?
No. Just log-on 5 or 10 minutes before the event starts.
