Young Buddhists: First Friday

Friday, August 4th @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

CyberBuddha or CyberMara? – A guide to ethics in digital communication

Who are you in your digital life? Do your communications on messaging or social media reflect who you really are? Or do you feel you have to present a perfect version of yourself? And what happens when you read a post that you feel yourself having a reaction to? Do you “mind the gap” before responding? Or do you find yourself jumping into the role of Victim, Persecutor or Rescuer?

How can we honour ourselves and be compassionate to others, while avoiding becoming extreme version of ourselves online? The Buddha’s teachings on communication are as relevant today as they were 2500 years ago.

Friendship, Connection, Transformation and the all-important Cake!

There will be meditation, Buddhist teachings, lively discussions and the opportunity to get to know each other better. Transform your life in ways beyond your wildest dreams, and maybe even have some fun in the process. Complete beginners welcome!
