Karuna Evening

Thursday 27th February 2020

19:30 - 21:30

Karuna appeals as rocket fuel for the dharma life - Don't just sit there.. do something!

Are you serious about going deeper in your practice but are unsure how?
Do you want to do something life changing for both yourself and others?

Come and meet Sanghamani and Michael from The Karuna Trust (one of Triratna's longest standing right livelihood charities. Karuna uplift disadvantaged Dalit communities in India and Nepal by funding grass roots projects that focus on education, women's empowerment and dignified livelihoods.

We do that by asking you to volunteer for one of our five fundraising appeals this year. Karuna fundraising is a longstanding spiritual practice in our community. The conditions create a supportive context to really go deeper in practice whilst making a real difference to peoples lives. They really are life changing for everyone!

One of last years volunteers said:
.. "I have come away from these six weeks with a profound sense of gratitude that I took part. I have a commitment to the Dharma that I have not felt before. I see tangible changes in my behaviour, mental states and the way I see and interact with the world and a new excitement to be alive. No retreat, or amount of meditation has had this effect on me."

Come along and find out more.. even if you feel it's not something you can't imagine doing at the moment.

To find out more, have a look at our websites:
appeals.karuna.org and karuna.org

We can offer financial support to make it possible.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Love Sanghamani
