Angie Lee-Foster shares her inspired writing from a Buddhist perspective
For several years now I have been writing a Substack column called Wabi Sabi Life. Substack is a subscription-based platform that allows writers, journalists, and other content creators to publish newsletters directly to their audience. My column, Wabi Sabi Life, includes writing, audio meditations and creative explorations of the imper-
fect and unconventional from a Buddhist perspective from someone with a love of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
Over the years I’ve written about themes such as simplicity, emptiness, harmony, and melancholy. I’ve recorded guided meditations and courses on haiku writing. I’ve shared round-ups of what is on my cultural radar and sources of creative inspiration as well as diaries about my trip to Japan. One of my recent popular posts was about
uncertainty and you can read that here.
Creating Wabi Sabi Life has helped me connect with over 350 people around the world on these themes. I am challenged to explore ideas and practice in much more depth when I write about them. It channels my creativity and provides an opportunity for sharing what I love. You can find our more here.
