An Evening of Celebration for Dr Ambedkar

Friday, October 18th @ 7:30 pm 9:30 pm

An evening of celebrating the life and work of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Dr Ambedkar was an Indian social reformer and wrote the Indian Constitution. He devoted his life to the welfare of others.

In 1956 in Nagpur, Dr Ambedkar converted to Buddhism alongside 500,000 Dalits (people from ‘untouchable’ castes).

Come along and find out more about this amazing being and how Sangharakshita was involved with Dr Ambedkar and this mass conversion.

How to join

Doors open from 7pm. There is no need to book. Just turn up.

Our Centre costs about £100 per day to run but receives no external financial support. It is powered entirely by the generosity of the people who come along.
