The Buddha’s teachings are priceless and we want to make them available to everyone so rather than charge for classes we try to cultivate the core Buddhist practice of generosity (Dāna). Our events are run by volunteers but we still need regular income so we ask that you donate what you can.
You can give:
- At the Centre by cash, card or phone
- Online reguar donations via PayPal
- Online one-off donations by credit or debit card
- Monthly standing order via your bank
It costs about £88 a day to run The Centre. This is all paid from donations.
How much to give each month?
- £15 pcm helps bring new people to the Centre
- £40 pcm covers shrine room flowers and candles
- £88 pcm will run The Centre for a day
As a registered charity, your donations are worth an extra 25% to us if you Gift Aid them. The Donate button on this page allows Gift-Aid but if giving by another means please use our Gift Aid Form.
Can you give some time?
Our Centre is run entirely by people like you who join small teams (kula’s) to help keep the Centre running.
Please see our Volunteer page or just ask someone who’s leading a class.
Please don’t use this page to pay for something you have bought*
The word ‘Dāna’ means generosity. Generosity is a simple and effective means for cultivating the feeling to want to give and share and is an essential part of Buddhist practice.
