Andy’s Send Off Celebrations

Please join the Ipswich Sangha for an evening of rejoicing and celebration for our dear friend Andy Madel. He has been invited to an ordination course at the Guhyaloka men’s retreat centre in Spain, and will travel there in early September.

Upon Andy’s return he will have a new name (derived from either the Pali or Sanskrit language) and will be ready to start his new life as an Order Member in Ipswich. 

Andy first came along when we were having classes on Foundation Street. He noticed a mysterious atmosphere around the place, which he gradually realised was Metta! Then life got very busy, though he returned in 2011 and has been a core member of the Ipswich Sangha ever since. People know him as a class team member, a retreat organiser, a giver of excellent talks, an open-hearted and perceptive friend, and much else besides.
