In 1967 Sangharakshita made Buddhist history by giving women and men equal ordination. But Tiratanaloka retreat Centre is struggling to accommodate the number of women who are on the ordination path, so desperately needs a bigger facility. More here…
On 12th March, 12:30-4pm, Ipswich Buddhist Centre will be hosting a sale of Buddhist items to raise funds for a bigger Tiratanaloka.
This will be a very exciting event for many reasons. It is an opportunity to meet up with friends and partake of delicious food in the form of home-made soups with specialty breads (from Henrietta’s bakery). There will be yummy homemade cakes and beverages too, with the opportunity of buying cakes to take home.
If you have seen the catalogue you will know something of the variety and beauty of the sacred items on sale. There will be extra items available that didn’t find their way into the catalogue, so you may find just the right devotional item for your practice.
If you cannot make the event on 12th March you can still buy items from the catalogue by contacting Di on dijohnston@hotmail.co.uk or on Slack.
You can pay by cash, or speak with Di for card payments, so that the funds will reach Tiratanaloka Unlimited.
Please be part of this initiative and help Triratna grow.
