I wasn’t sure what to expect when attending my first Mantra Circle. Stepping into the unknown always seems to bring a sense of anxiety and/or anticipation.
But order member Kamalasīha immediately helped to ease that tension. And what followed was a beautiful, heartfelt experience.
The sound of the Sangha’s voices, blending in unison, created a harmony that reached deep within me. The varying rhythms of the mantras, combined with the warm energy of the group — I somehow felt calmed and uplifted all at once.
By the end, I felt a deep connection with the Sangha. Visions of the Bodhisattva’s and their symbolic meanings were floating around in my mind.
What’s great is you don’t need to be experienced with chanting to join in. You can take part as much or as little as you want (though I guarantee you’ll be chanting along soon enough!).
If you want to unwind and find some peace at the end of a busy week, I highly recommend you come along and witness the magic of mantras for yourself.
Mantra Circle happens every month. All are welcome – see the events list for details
