Arrange an educational visit
The Ipswich Buddhist Centre welcomes booked visits from educational and community groups of all ages, from primary and secondary schools to universities, colleges and teacher training groups.
We are also happy to visit your school or college and will discuss with you, prior to the visit, particular learning needs and interests of your children and students.
The Education Team consist of experienced Ordained Buddhists, those who are training to become ordained and other committed community members. They all have completed Enhanced DBS checks.
We are a registered charity and receive no central funding. All on the Education Team give their time on a voluntary basis. Our Centre is run on the generosity of those who attend and visit us. We have suggested fees for the visits which go towards us supporting people in Ipswich and beyond to access meditation and Buddhist teachings.
We understand that these may be difficult times for all. The most important aspect of these visits is to share what we do with the wider community and to facilitate contact with practicing Buddhists, so please do talk to us if the costs are prohibitive.
The suggested fees to visit a school or organisation are:
- 1 Hour – £30
- 1.5 Hours – £60
- 2 Hours – £80
- 3 Hours – £100
- Full Day – £150
- All plus travel expenses
For visits to the Buddhist Centre, we suggest £3.50 per student. A minimum of 10 children please. However these are not set fees and shouldn’t be prohibitive.
