Film Night – The Cup
Saturday, February 22nd @ 6:30 pm – 9:15 pm
‘An inspiring true story’
The Cup’ is a heart-warming story of a young lad, a Tibetan refuge now living in a monastery in India. There’s conflict between his passion for football, and the spiritual environment in which he lives. This reaches its head with the 1998 World Cup final. Can he and his friends see the match on TV, despite the strict approach of Geko, who is in charge of the junior monks? A delightful, humorous movie that conveys much about monastic life, teenage sports mania and human nature!
In Tibetan, with easy-to-follow subtitles..
