Lunchtime Meditation Class

Relax and refresh your mind every Tuesday lunchtime with the Ipswich Buddhist Centre.

Every week we introduce one of the two meditation practices which are part of our vision of a complete system of practice. There is no need to book. Just drop in and discover what meditation can do for you!

COVID PRECAUTIONS – Presently we aim to have this class ‘live’ at the Centre and on Zoom. At the Centre people will need to wear masks throughout and other safety measures will be in place. Please note that the Covid situation is unpredictable and it is possible we’ll have to revert to ‘Zoom Only’ in the future- so please check this website for up-to-date information.. 

The sessions start at 1pm and will last about 40 minutes in total. The leader, will start the session with a simple introduction to the practice [lasting a few minutes]. Then there will be a 25 minute meditation period. After that, there will be an opportunity to talk over a cup of tea if you wish.

Is this session suitable for me?

Guidence and support is available as part of this session which makes it suitable for both those new to mediation and those with plenty of expereince.

Do I need to pay?

This session is offered free of charge. If you wish to give, you can donate online using the Dana Bowl above.

Do I need to attend for the whole session?

It is best if you can, but if you need to leave early please let the person leading the session know. You can do this in the ‘Chat’ on Zoom. You can leave when the meditation ends or stay behind for a cuppa and a chat.

Do I need to book?

No. Just turn up. If it is your first time, you may prefer to arrive or log-on about 10 minutes early so that we can answer any questions you have about the session.
