Festival Dates for the New Year

With a brand new year comes brand new dates for your diary. Below are some of the key festival dates to look forward to at the Ipswich Buddhist Centre.

The first is Parinirvana Day, the day the Buddha died, and left his earthly body behind for the last time. This year it will be held on Sunday February 16th 10.30am to 4pm. Buddha Day, the day we celebrate the Buddha’s Enlightenment is Sunday May 18th, with Dharma Day on Sunday July 13th, highlighting the teachings of the Buddha. Both of these days are significant in the Triratna Calendar as is Padmasambhava Day on Sunday September 7th.  Finally the final, but by no means least jewel of the Three Jewels is Sangha Day. It is a day we share together in the spirit of friendship and community; and it will be held on 9th ofNovember.

Sangha retreats are yet to be confirmed, and we will let you know as soon as we can.

All these dates are subject to change at any time, so please do keep up to date with all current events on the Ipswich Buddhist Centre website.
