For 16 summers, Buddhafield East arranged a very special family-friendly summer gathering on farmland on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Then covid struck and it had to take a few years off. This year it returns with a week-long Summer Camp from 21st to 27th August.
The theme for this year is ‘Wild Awake’. As usual, Buddhists and friends, largely from the Triratna Centres in the East of England will gather for meditation, Buddhist talks, discussion, and ritual, music, yoga and creative activities. Dharma activities are led by Triratna order members from across the region.
Whilst the week-long camping retreat appeals to very broad range of people, it has particular significance to parents and carers as, with plenty of activities for children and young people, parents and carers are fully free to engage with the dharma programme.
Participation in the week, including food (from day 2) costs only £160 (concession £110) if you book before 10th July. Full details are at www.buddhafieldeast.co.uk.
A good number of the Ipswich Sangha are regulars at the event. If you want to know more have a word with Jnanmitra, Prajnakara, Eric or Abs.
