Sangha Retreat

Going on retreat can be a life changing event, even if it is only for a weekend. Last weekend we held our winter Sangha retreat in the beautiful Vajrasana.

This retreat was a little special as we managed to have Paramananda lead the retreat. Paramananda is well known for his meditation books such as ‘Change your Mind’.

His teaching style is directed more towards grounding ourselves by getting out of our heads and more into our bodies.

It was also good to have a few ex-Ipswich people who have moved to other parts of the country and some of the Bury Sangha also came along. There was much to take away from this retreat and put into our own personal practice back home.

For me, the greatest thing about the retreat was just being with the Ipswich Sangha in such a positive setting and see us all enjoy ourselves.  If you missed the retreat, don’t worry as we have another weekend away coming up in March.  Maybe it can be one of your New Year’s resolutions?
