The online auction of promises is a lot of fun with competitive live bidding and half-time entertainment. Why not make an evening of it by inviting friends round to enjoy the evening with you!

Don’t worry. You stay muted and only turn your camera on when you want to place a bid. It’s a lot of fun!

The worldwide Buddhist movement to which Ipswich Buddhist Centre belongs is unique in being the only order to ordain women on the same terms as men.

However, the very small capacity of Tiratanaloka, the ordination retreat centre for women in the UK, makes it impossible for women to progress to ordination at the same rate as men.

The consequent limited number of ordained women across the country, including Ipswich, severely limits the opportunities for women to progress in their spiritual lives. A new Tiratanaloka will transform this.

Over the last 30 years, Ipswich Buddhist Centre has grown from nothing to a thriving spiritual community with its own base.

This has come about through the selfless efforts of hundreds of people taking many tiny steps and occasionally some much bigger strides. It will soon be time to again make a bigger stride to better facilities. Funds raised through the auction of promises will help make sure we are ready when the right opportunity arises.

You can join the auction on Zoom from 7:20pm. You do not need a ticket. It is free to join.

There is no charge to join. The Zoom link will be published on this page close to the time of the event.

Could I make a donation?

You can make a donation using the button below. The proceeds from all bids and donations are split 50/50 between the two causes.
