Christmas Collection

The Community Action Kula is launching a Christmas campaign – collecting donations, from Sangha, their friends & family, for the homeless & The Lighthouse Women’s refuge.

For the homeless (supporting the Ipswich Outreach shop) we are putting together ‘Buddha Boxes’ containing clothes for the winter, such as hats, gloves jeans & socks; as well as collecting crisps & choc bars, as previously. Hand knitted items are most welcome!

For the Lighthouse women’s refuge, we are collecting items such as women’s toiletries and other items as listed on the kula web page.

Please encourage friends and family to get involved – this can be by simply adding an extra item for donation to their weekly shop.

We are focusing efforts around a collection day of Friday 4th December; however, we are happy to accept donations before then – simply contact the kula on our Slack channel.

The Community Action page of the website now has updated lists of items that are needed by Lighthouse Women’s Aid and to support the Soup Kitchen.

It is also possible to drop-off items at the Centre but check with Nick, our Centre Admin Assistant beforehand.

If you would have donations to be collected on 4th December please send a message to enquiries@ipswichbuddhistcentre.org.uk.
