Over the last 30 years, Ipswich Buddhist Centre has helped local people to make lasting improvements to their lives and to the lives of others. Your contributions will help this work to continue and to grow.
Tiratnaloka [Un]limited is raising funds to address the historic lack of ordination retreat facilities which makes it impossible for women to progress to ordination at the same rate that men can.
Artworks & Refreshments from 2pm
Original artworks. ceramics and unique woven textiles by Buddhist artists, delicious homemade cakes and refreshments
Three Lines One Breath 2-4pm
Bring a notebook, pen and an open mind. No previous writing experience is necessary. The workshop is inspired by the work of Natalie Goldberg; a Zen-like method that will take you straight to the source of creative power, to the mind that is raw, full of energy and alive with imagination. This will culminate in short haikus that will be presented visually in a short film show as part of the fundraising evening.
Sangha Sing! 4-6pm
Come along and enjoy a magical afternoon…no experience is necessary, just some enthusiasm! Together, we will learn some beautiful mantras in harmony, and maybe one or two surprises! The songs and mantras we learn will form part of the evening’s programme.
Participation in the evening performance is not obligatory. You can just come to the workshop. If you are participating in the evening performance you do need a ticket for the show!)
