Women’s Sangha Day with Danasamudra
Sunday, February 11th @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
The wonderful Dharmacharini Danasamudra will be joining us to lead Women’s Day at the Ipswich Buddhist Centre.
She will be speaking on the often unknown stories of women in Buddhism, and how we are preserving the stories of women in Triratna through the Triratna women project. There will also be a writing workshop in the afternoon.
This event is will be good for you whether you write or not. Writing is a fascinating way to explore your practice.
There will also be a chance to hear about the amazing Triratna Women project, which Danasamudra is spearheading. This is an event not to be missed!
Danasamudra was ordained in 2011 and in 2013 moved to Herefordshire to help set up what became Adhisthana. She was librarian of the Sangharakshita library until last year and in 2014 set up the Triratna Women project. This is an oral history project which started off recording the experiences of women in the early days of Triratna but has expanded to make sure our current history is recorded as well. Danasamudra is also a writer and writing facilitator.

Please bring some vegan food to share at lunchtime and some writing materials.
What if I can’t afford the concession price?
We don’t want anybody to be excluded on the grounds of cost. Please come anyway and have a word with the organiser who will be able to help.
