Young Buddhists: First Friday

November 3, 2023 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

It might sound a bit morbid to Westerners, but this ancient book (also known as Bardo Thodol) is one of Buddhism’s most popular. Like a comic book adventure, we meet strange and wonderful beings, and the ride is both exhilarating and terrifying.

Get ready for an adventure that has us traversing the realms between death and new life, where anything is possible in the ‘Bardo’ (the ‘intermediate state’).

You don’t have to believe in any kind of rebirth – or afterlife – to benefit from this book. It can have great relevance to modern ways of living and the opportunities we have, every day, to escape from our reactivity. Come and find out how.
